Description: This course provides a basic understanding of the legal, substantive, procedural, and operational issues involved in importing merchandise into the United States. While intended as an introductory course for non-customs lawyers or for those new to the area of international trade and customs law, it is also suitable as a refresher course for attorneys who occasionally encounter customs issues. This information is critically important for all attorneys advising manufacturing firms and other companies involved in the shipment of merchandise across national boundaries.
