Description: This course provides valuable information on the procedural framework and substantive rules governing personnel security due process provided by the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals. It is recommended for practitioners who represent or anticipate representing military personnel, civilian employees of the Department of Defense, or officers and employees of defense contractors who face a decision to deny or revoke their access to classified information. Participants will receive an introduction to security clearance adjudications, covering the basic steps by which cases are originated and adjudicated. The course also offers practice pointers for attorneys representing clients in such cases.
