On May 28th, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released the long-awaited Final Rule implementing modifications to the The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy, security, enforcement and breach notification rules. During this session, panelists from HHS will provide a brief overview of the long awaited Final Rule and discuss the implications of the Final Rule on the electronic exchange of health information and consumer privacy. There will be an opportunity for Q&A following the panelists' presentations.
