The second day of the Energy Bar Association's Mid-Year Conference features a full day of programming titled “Gas and Electric Industry Coordination In-Depth Seminar.”
With the discovery and production of abundant domestic supply and favorable price and environmental attributes of natural gas relative to other fossil fuels, there has been significant growth in new natural gas fired electric generation. In response, regulators and reliability entities are encouraging market participants to fully analyze the impacts associated with this shift, focusing on the goal of ensuring continued reliable operation of the natural gas and electric systems in the future. Further, the natural gas and electric industries together are exploring the structure, price, and services available from pipelines to serve the growing needs of electric generators.
This half-day seminar provides progressive sessions that serve the dual purpose of informing energy practitioners on key facts, trends, and current issues regarding natural gas and electric industry coordination, and furthering industry and regulator dialog. A full list of programming is available online at http://www.eba-net.org/docs/events/2012-Mid-Year-Conference-Program-Schedule.pdf?v=7.
Separate pricing available for registrants attending both days of this two-day conference.
Earlybird registration rates are available until November 12, 2012; Cancellation fees apply.
