Child trafficking is on the rise in D.C., and children in the neglect and delinquency systems are particularly vulnerable to this form of exploitation. During this brown bag presentation, representatives from FAIR Girls will discuss risk factors practitioners should be aware of, strategies for identifying trafficked youth, and concrete ways to assist and protect youth being exploited. Attendees will walk away with a better sense of what trafficking is and how to prevent it. FAIR Girls (formerly FAIR Fund) prevents the exploitation of girls worldwide with empowerment and education. Through prevention education, compassionate care, and survivor inclusive advocacy, FAIR Girls creates opportunities for girls to become confident, happy, healthy young women.
This Off the Record Brown Bag Program is sponsored by the Family Law Section. In cosponsorship with the Corporation, Finance and Securities Law Section and the Law Practice Management Section.
Remarks made during “Off the Record” programs may not be used for publication.
