| 6.6—Disclosure
of Informal Admonitions
- Informal admonitions issued after January 1, 1995 are public.
- Informal admonitions issued prior to January 1, 1995 are confidential
except that Bar Counsel is authorized to disclose information pertaining
to proceedings disposed of by informal admonition prior to January
1, 1995, to a court; to other judicial tribunals or disciplinary agency;
to a duly constituted law enforcement authority conducting an investigation;
to representatives of public agencies considering an attorney for
judicial or public employment or appointment; to representatives of
another state or federal Bar considering the application of an attorney
for admission to such Bar; or to a duly authorized representative
of the District of Columbia Bar with respect to an attorney whom the
Bar is considering for possible employment, appointment to a Bar position
related to attorney discipline or legal ethics, or recommendation
to the Court for appointment to any board, committee, or other body
