All D.C. Bar CLE courses satisfy MCLE credit requirements in every state. The process for obtaining credits varies by state. You may contact the CLE Office (202-626-3488) for specific procedures for any state. The D.C. Bar is an accredited or approved sponsor in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. All courses qualify for New York credit. The D.C. Bar applies for credit for individual courses in other states, including Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, and Wyoming. Courses satisfy requirements in Arizona, Kentucky, Montana, and Nebraska, but attorneys must apply individually for credit and submit accreditation fees directly to these states.
These activities have been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California. The D.C. Bar certifies that these activities conform to the standards for approved education activities prescribed by the rules and regulations of the State Bar of California governing minimum continuing legal education.
Credit hours for courses are listed after the time of the course (if
credit hours are not listed, please call the CLE Office at 202-626-3488).These
hours are calculated on a 60–minute hour. Breaks already have been
deducted from the time. However, some states round down to the nearest
half–hour.
