D.C. Cup Moot Court Awards and Honors

On March 3, George Washington University Law students Claudia Ojeda and Lisette Washington outdueled a team from Howard University School of Law in the final round of oral arguments to win the 2017 D.C. Cup Moot Court Competition.

During the competition, sponsored by the D.C. Bar Sections, students from area law schools argued cases through three rounds over two separate days before three volunteer judges. The case involved the DC Anti-SLAPP Act, issues of defamation, employee contracts and employee handbooks.
