Pro Bono Firm Award Nomination Form

  1. Nominees for the Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year and Pro Bono Attorney of the Year should have, in the preceding year:
    • Provided direct legal services to the poor and disadvantaged in the District through the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program or through a D.C. nonprofit legal service provider;
    • Provided legal services to community based nonprofits and/or disadvantaged small businesses serving low–income communities in the District;
    • Litigated one or more pro bono cases that favorably impacted poor and disadvantaged District residents; and/or
    • Advanced public policy that favorably affected the poor and disadvantaged individuals in the District.
  2. Lawyer nominees must be active members of the D.C. Bar.
  3. Individual attorneys who obtain their income delivering or coordinating the delivery of legal services to the poor and disadvantaged are not eligible for this award.
  4. Law firm nominees may be in one of two categories: 2–50 attorneys or 50+ attorneys. Please indicate in which category the firm belongs.
  5. The Bar reserves the right not to give an award in any given year.
