The Board on Professional Responsibility approved the following amendments to its Rules: an amendment to Board Rule 19.5 addressing the rights of respondents and petitioners to be represented by counsel in all stages of the disciplinary process, and setting forth the procedures for the compensation of counsel for indigent respondents; and, a new Board Rule 19.8(f), which requires the redaction of certain personal identifiers in documents filed with the Board.  Click here for "clean" and "compare" versions of the Board Rules.

The Board also approved a Board Policy on Compensation of Counsel for Indigent Respondents, Board Standards for Determining Financial Hardship, and a form affidavit in support of a motion for compensation of counsel based on financial hardship.
