As we continue our recognition of the Bar's 40th anniversary, we invite you to attend this gala dinner to salute outstanding leaders and projects of the D.C. Bar.

President–elect Tom Williamson of Covington & Burling LLP will be sworn in as the new D.C. Bar President after being introduced to the membership by his longtime friend, the Hon. Eric H. Holder, Jr.

Paul M. Smith, a partner at Jenner & Block and a former member of the Bar's Board of Governors, will be presented with the Thurgood Marshall Award recognizing excellence, achievement and commitment in civil rights and individual liberties.
Patricia A. Riley, special counsel to the Acting United States Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, will be presented with the Beatrice Rosenberg Award for excellence in government service.
We will announce the 2012 election results and welcome newly elected officers and governors.

You will reconnect with your professional colleagues, meet our board members, network with the judiciary, and help us honor outstanding individuals and groups for their contributions to the legal community.

Host committee participants will be acknowledged in the commemorative dinner program and recognized on the D.C. Bar Celebration of Leadership web page.

The 2012 Presidents’ Reception will also be held on Tuesday, June 19 at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel. The Presidents’ Reception benefits the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program and is a separate event. The Presidents’ Reception will precede the Celebration of Leadership activities.
