D.C. Superior Court Judge Johnson Seeks Reappointment

This is to notify members of the bench, bar, and general public that Magistrate Judge Noel T. Johnson has declared his candidacy for reappointment as a Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Magistrate Judge Johnson’s term will expire on April 4, 2018.

Pursuant to the Standards and Procedures for the Selection and Tenure of Magistrate Judges, a committee of Superior Court Judges designated by the Chief Judge will review the Magistrate Judges’ prior service and any comments from members of the bench, bar, and public. Following its review, the Committee will submit to the Chief Judge a written report and recommendations concerning the candidacy for reappointment.

Comments on the performance of Magistrate Judge Johnson are invited. Comments must be received on or before February 28, 2018, and should be emailed to Judge Carol Dalton, Chair, Committee on the Selection and Tenure of Magistrate Judges, Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Any information received by the Committee concerning a candidate under consideration for reappointment shall be maintained in strict confidence.
