Superior Court Releases Probate Division Case Management Plan
August 6, 2014
On August 5 the Superior Court of the District of Columbia released an administrative order issuing a Probate Division Case Management Plan. Stemming from the 2013–2017 Strategic Plan of the District of Columbia Courts, Open to All, Trusted by All, Justice for All, the case management plan establishes procedures for efficient and effective case processing, as well as outlines consistent expectations for participants in the court process for all Probate Division cases.
In addition, the case management plan details the actions that the court takes to monitor and control the progress of cases to ensure a prompt resolution consistent with the individual circumstances of each case. Each of the 13 case types handled by the Probate Division of the court is addressed by the case management plan.
The case management plan is effective August 25.
