Late Registration Fee Waived for Some Bar Exam Applicants

May 5, 2014

The District of Columbia Court of Appeals has issued an administrative order waiving the $200 late fee for applicants who were unsuccessful in taking the February 2014 D.C. Bar Examination and who wish to sign up for the July 2014 exam.

The Court of Appeals recognizes that results from the February exam will not be released until a few days after the initial May 5 deadline to apply for the July exam. Thus, the court has waived D.C. App. R. 46 (b)(2)(iii) pertaining to late applications.

Applicants are still expected to submit their applications before the final deadline to apply on May 20.
