BADC Seeks Nominations for Quality of Life Award
April 19, 2017
The Bar Association of the District of Columbia seeks nominations for the 20th annual Constance L. Belfiore Quality of Life Award. Nominations are due Friday, May 5.
The award honors a legal employer who helps their staff achieve a quality of life, which has been shown to be tremendously vital to the legal profession, the lawyer, and the legal workplace. Lawyers who are satisfied with their quality of life (however they personally measure it) are more apt to stay with their organizations, sustain the quality of life culture for others, maintain continuity for their clients, and maximize the organization’s investment in their training. Lawyers who achieve quality of life are urged to nominate their employers for this A\award.
Nominees have found the application process to be enlightening and rewarding. Award winners have been exceptionally pleased with the award’s effect on morale, recruitment, retention, and client satisfaction. Often the award winners serve as models for others in the Washington, D.C., area.
This year’s winner will be honored during the BADC Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in the BADC e-newsletter, and on the BADC website.
