Court of Appeals Amends Rule XI
February 9, 2016
The D.C. Court of Appeals has adopted an amendment to Rule XI of the Court of Appeals Rules Governing the Bar, as proposed by the Bar's Board of Governors. The amendment takes effect March 1.
Section 19(f) of Rule XI is deleted as it was duplicative of Rule 1.15 of the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct, which defines the ethical obligations of lawyers on financial record keeping for client trust accounts.
The court received no comments during the public notice period on the proposed amendment.
