Comment on Candidates for Reappointment to Senior Judge Status

The D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure invites comments on the qualifications of three judges seeking recommendations for reappointment as senior judges.  

The commission is reviewing the qualifications and fitness of the following D.C. Court of Appeals and D.C. Superior Court judges:

  • Judge William C. Pryor
  • Judge Kaye K. Christian
  • Judge Robert I. Richter  

Judge Pryor is seeking recommendation for reappointment to another two-year term as a senior judge on the D.C. Court of Appeals, and Judges Christian and Richter are each seeking a recommendation for reappointment to another four-year term as senior judges on the D.C. Superior Court.  

The commission is inviting comments from the bench, bar, and the general public regarding the judges’ qualifications to continue their judicial service. All comments must be received by Monday, November 26. 

Comments may be submitted in writing to the commission’s office at 515 Fifth Street, N.W., Room 246, Washington, D.C., 20001, or by email. In addition, comments may be submitted by an online survey available on the commission’s website, or by this direct link for Judge Pryor, and this direct link for Judges Christian and Richter

The identity of any person submitting comments will be kept confidential, unless the commenter authorizes the disclosure of his or her name.
