McGlone Wins D.C. Bar President-Elect Post

Patrick McGlone, senior vice president, general counsel, and chief compliance officer at Ullico Inc., has been elected president-elect of the D.C. Bar for the 2016–2017 term. McGlone will assume office on June 15 and serve in that post for one year before becoming president, and will continue in office a third year as immediate past president.
With McGlone's installation, incumbent President-Elect Annamaria Steward will become the 45th president of the D.C. Bar. Steward is associate dean of students at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.
McGlone has previously served in numerous capacities for the Bar, including as secretary, as well as on the Regulations/Rules/Board Procedures, Nominations, Publications, and Screening committees. He is currently treasurer of the D.C. Bar Foundation's board of directors, vice president of the Council for Court Excellence, and a fellow of the American Bar Association (ABA).
At Ullico, he is charged with overseeing the company's legal and compliance matters, with an emphasis on insurance, investments, commercial and employment law, ERISA, and privacy issues.
Also elected for one-year terms were, as secretary, David W. Arrojo of the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Ethics, and, as treasurer, Megan Lacchini of the Legal Services Corporation.
Elected to the Bar's Board of Governors for three-year terms were Jessica E. Adler of the Law Office of Jessica E. Adler, Karen E. Evans of The Cochran Firm, Theodore A. Howard of Wiley Rein LLP, Annette K. Kwok of Venable LLP, and Christopher P. Zubowicz of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Elected for two-year terms on the ABA House of Delegates were John C. Keeney, Jr., of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Laura A. Possessky of Gura & Possessky PLLC, and Lucy L. Thomson of Livingston PLLC.
Of the 75,066 ballots mailed, 6,860 were cast for a 9.1 percent overall turnout. A complete breakdown of election results follows.
The D.C. Bar's 20 sections also announced the results of their elections, with winners serving on their respective steering committees.
All newly elected officers, board members, and delegates will take office during the 2016 Celebration of Leadership: The D.C. Bar Awards Dinner and Annual Meeting at 7 p.m. on June 15 at the Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Avenue NW.
