Georgetown University Law Center professor Robert Pitofsky was
presented with the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division’s
highest honor, the Sherman Award, by U.S. Attorney General Eric H. Holder
Jr.… Jones Day partner Steven A. Teitelbaum has been elected
a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers… Mark
L. Stember, a partner at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, has been selected
to serve on the Children’s Health Insurance Program and Employer-Sponsored
Coverage Coordination Working Group. Barry Fleishman, a partner
at the firm, was reappointed to Law 360’s 2010 Insurance
Editorial Advisory Board… Daniel W. Hurson has been appointed
assistant attorney general, assigned to represent the Maryland Energy
Administration in Annapolis… Bruce J. Klores of Bruce J.

& Reath LLP partner Michael J. Remington and associate Philip
J. Cardinale were selected as honorees of the 2010 Burton Award
for distinguished legal writing for their article, “User-Generated
Content, Online Fair Use, and the DMCA’s ‘Good Faith’
Requirement,” which was published in BNA’s Patent, Trademark
& Copyright Journal… Timothy J. Muris, of counsel
at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, has been honored with the Miles
W. Kirkpatrick Award for his significant and lasting contributions to
the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, antitrust law, and the cause of consumer
protection… The Children’s Law Center’s garnered
a Bronze Telly Award for its video chronicling the organization’s
work to give at-risk children in Washington, D.C., a solid foundation
of education, family, and health… Ray V. Hartwell III,

DLA Piper LLP has established an office in Istanbul, Turkey,
which will provide advice on international and foreign law… Brian
L. Lerner, formerly a partner at Hogan & Hartson LLP (now Hogan
Lovells) has opened Ward Kim Vaughan & Lerner LLP in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida, focusing on arbitration (both domestic and international),
commercial litigation, and employment law. He also has been named Lawyer
of the Month by Lawyers to the Rescue in recognition of his commitment
to pro bono work.

Theodore A. Gebhard and James F. Mongoven have written
the article “Prohibiting Fraud and Deception in Wholesale Petroleum
Markets: The New Federal Trade Commission Market Manipulation Rule,”
which appears in the spring 2010 issue of the Energy Law Journal.
The authors are both senior attorneys with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission
and members of the rulemaking task force… Eric Kracov,
a partner on Kilpatrick Stockton LLP’s financial institutions
team, coauthored a new chapter on “Executive Compensation”
