Judicial Nomination Commission Announces Superior Court Vacancy

On February 27 the D.C. Judicial Nomination Commission announced a vacancy on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia resulting from the resignation of Judge Rupa Ranga Puttagunta, effective April 12, 2024. The commission invites qualified individuals to apply for the vacancy by noon on March 21. Application materials and instructions are available on the JNC website. Please note that the application forms were recently revised.

JNC Recommends Six Candidates for Superior Court Vacancies

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has recommended to President Biden six candidates for judicial vacancies on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judge Jennifer M. Anderson and the resignation of Judge Rupa Ranga. The president has 60 days to select a nominee for each vacancy.
